Stephanie and her cat, Bella {lifestyle} / Sugar Land Texas and semi Pet Portrait Photographer

When I think of Stephanie, I think of her sister Linda. Nearly 3 years ago, I had the pleasure of capturing Linda + Christian’s wedding. It was pretty marvelous to say the least. Another thing I think of when it comes to Stephanie are MARATHONS.  You know, those athletic running events where you pay to run 26.3 miles for charities. I’m not saying I’m not a runner but she runs TWICE as far as I do. I only run half marathons which are only 13.1 miles. I feel inferior now Steph, thank you.  That’s probably the only thing about her that I can relate to though. She’s law. I’m biology turned photographer. She own cats. I’m a wanna be dog owner. But if there’s one thing that you and I can agree on is that she has a radiant and contagious smile. I can’t help but grin as I went through every single photo.:D Super congratulations to you Stephanie for graduating law school. Hopefully, we’ll bump into each other in future marathons (or not :p).

Alesia Hall / Houston Bridal and Portrait Photographer

Alesia, her awesome mum, my little brother, and I terrorize the lobby of a Holiday Inn a couple months ago for this lovely bridal photo session. Well, it was more like my brother and I while Alesia and her mum watched in horror and concern. This session is probably one of the most spontaneous shoots I’ve done so far. The plan was to hit the streets of downtown that day but we ended up shooting a mostly indoor shoot.  Alesia rented a very standard room at the Holiday Inn. This room was absolutely one of the most boring looking rooms that I’ve seen out of a hotel room EXCEEEEEPT for its blue wall and I absolutely had to make use of it.

When I see walls that have great potential for perfect backdrops, believe that I would go the distance to make it mine and the hotel room and lobby walls were no exceptions. With the room, a lamp, table, and telephone were removed to clear way for my blue wall. The only problem was the huge 3×2 picture frame that was bolted in the middle of the wall but photoshop took care of that.:)I regret not taking any photos of how the room and lobby looked originally.  As soon as the hotel front desk gave me the ok, my brother and I went to town in moving two 3-seater couches, 2 huge vases, 2 side tables,  and a massive 5×5 feet 50lb coffee table along with various magazines and other table settings. Took us a good 10 minutes to set up my “studio” and the resulting images were created. Spontaneity at its best, LOL.
